Daylight saving really have its effect for real.. I haven't even seen the sun for 4 days now, but I finally have time to blog since the professor is gone for today's 12 o' clock class. CHYEA..I need a break from that class anyway.
Now I realize I've been posting up hella pics and not saying much about it. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. But yea I'm gonna be lazy now and not take as much pictures!
Check it out though, Davis Quickly's is finally open and for a limited time...99cent Milk Tea OR just TEA. APPARENTLY.. someone didn't know the difference between black tea and green tea, or milk green tea and milk black tea. First of all, black tea is oxidized thus giving it a distinct flavouring and are higher in caffeine than unfermented tea. In green tea, there is a higher level of antioxidants that helps in speeding up metabolism or dieting.
Since I've never ordered any "Pearl Drinks" without milk in them, I had to ask the cashier if the non-milk tea's were sweetened, cuz otherwise I have a TON of tea at home I can make myself.. in fact, I do make milk tea myself sometimes. The only difference is that their's are made cold and well blended. and for 99cent! How can I pass that up! Besides, their pop corn chacken > tea house pop corn chacken. The Ohana's boss must be cashing in all that $. It wouldn't be a bad idea if one of us starts a fast food chain in Davis... them guai lo's hen xi huan : )
Ok.. enough about that. HAHA I sound hella obsessed. A couple days ago, infinite-J showed me this article about some colorado white guys came up on an Asian guy singing a song from an American movie and basically mugged .. I forgot the title of that movie but I guess it was patriotic. To paraphrase, these white fellas confronted him and said something like "so you think you're an american?" and after some racist shit in between they got the Asian on his knees forcing him to say " I love America".
I don't know about you, but those "offenders" must have had their heads in their ass for the past 2 decades. This is 2008, we have gay marriages, black presidential candidates, women in political offices. Are we really heading forward are we still stuck in the past?

It angers me to still see these news articles.. even though I am pretty secluded from the news or general media I am still exposed to this kind of stuff... Not to hate on white ppl but I kno that some of ya'll even though ain't down with racism ain't going to do nothing about it to your racist friends. Same with Asians that don't stick up for each other, or blacks or Latinos. We all gotta stand up, speak up, do what's good for your friends, the community, the nation. Switch it up!
OBAMA 08? Everywhere they say Obama is way ahead of McCain, but is he really? Maybe in popular votes, but we all know what happened in 2000. McCain still has a good shot of evening it up with all the swinging/unknown states... just hope for the media to construe McCain/Palin's image enough for them guai lo's to change directions!!

So what's been going on? I've been hanging out with some koreanish person and basically fell in love with Wonder Girls vol.1 album. I must say they ain't bad.. not bad looking at all. In my Chinese poetry class, the professor like to I guess chat a lot but he's basically breaking down the reading and whatnot. So then our classroom is a bunch of Chinese kids and about 2 guai lo's. This one dude always sits in the front and you can tell him apart because of he's a tall guy and has long blonde hair. Ok so the professor talks about some famous poet and what he might be thinking about when he writes his poem. As you expect he's gonna mention the guys name and the professor thinks about it like HMM *long pause* The white guy is going to be like "maybe he was high" and then some laughter and silence, the professors then says...."maybe.."
What I don't get is that he does this every fricken class!! Like seriously, at one point during class he will say "he was smoking pot", "opium?", like it ain't even relevant to anything the professor is saying, and the professor is not going to be an ass and call him out. This guy also leaves halfway during discussion all the time. .. what a jerk.
I'm gonna stop here since I should be reading and preparing for my poetry class now.
